Brit & Berat ("we," "us," or "our") provides travel experiences, tours, and airport transfers. This page explains how we handle your information and the terms that apply when you sign up for our resources, join our communications, or book any of our services. By signing up for our free guide, joining our email or WhatsApp list, or booking a tour or transfer with us, you agree to everything below.
Please read the Terms of Service section carefully, especially the parts covering liability, assumption of risk, cancellations, and refunds. These sections affect your legal rights.
Part One: Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy and collect only the information we need to deliver our services, send you resources, communicate with you, and process bookings.
1. What We Collect
- Contact information: Name, email address, and phone number.
- Booking details: Travel dates, locations, group size, and any specific requirements for your tours or transfers.
- Payment information: Processed securely through third-party payment providers. We do not store your full payment card details.
- Usage data: Basic website cookies and IP addresses to improve your experience.
- Communication preferences: Your consent to receive emails and WhatsApp messages.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information only to:
- Deliver our travel services, including tours and airport transfers.
- Send booking confirmations, updates, reminders, and customer support.
- Send requested materials, such as our free guide.
- Send marketing and informational updates by email and WhatsApp where you have opted in.
- Improve our offerings and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
3. Communications (Email & WhatsApp)
When you provide your contact details and opt in through our website forms, our checkout, or our booking page, you agree to receive automated and personalized marketing and informational messages from Brit & Berat by email and WhatsApp.
Opt-in methods
You may opt in by submitting a form on our website (for example, when requesting our free guide), during checkout for a tour or transfer, or when booking a consultation. Signing up for our free guide constitutes opt-in for both email and WhatsApp communications.
Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your travel schedule and your interactions with us.
Fees
Standard data rates may apply from your mobile carrier or messaging provider. Brit & Berat does not charge a fee for these messages.
Opt-out
You can unsubscribe from email at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message. For WhatsApp, you can reply "STOP" or use the in-app block or unsubscribe feature at any time. You may also email us at hello@britandberat.com to be removed from all communications.
Help
If you have any issue with our messaging, reply "HELP" or contact us directly at hello@britandberat.com.
4. Data Sharing & Privacy
We may share limited information with trusted partners, such as drivers, guides, or venues, only when necessary to deliver a service you have booked. We do not sell your personal information.
Messaging privacy. Your mobile and messaging opt-in data and consent will never be shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. This information is kept strictly confidential.
5. Cookies
Our website uses basic cookies to help the site function and to understand how visitors use it. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features of the site may not work as intended.
6. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. If you wish to stop receiving communications, contact us and we will remove you. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@britandberat.com.
7. Your US State Privacy Rights (Including California)
Because our customers are based in the United States, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy laws. Depending on where you live, these can include the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect and how we use it.
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Request that we correct or delete your personal information.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use your information only to deliver our services and communicate with you, as described above.
For California residents: Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), you have the rights listed above, including the right to know, delete, and correct your information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Because we do not sell or share your personal information, there is nothing to opt out of, but you may still contact us to exercise any of your other rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@britandberat.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by your state's law. We will not charge you or treat you differently for making a request.
8. Data Retention & Security
We keep your information only as long as needed to provide our services and meet our legal obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Part Two: Terms of Service
These Terms apply to all services provided by Brit & Berat, including all tours, experiences, and airport transfers, and to all customers, guests, and participants. By booking or participating in any service, you accept these Terms on behalf of yourself and everyone in your party.
8. Bookings & Payment
- A booking is confirmed only once we have received your payment and sent a written confirmation.
- Prices are quoted at the time of booking. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors.
- You are responsible for providing accurate booking details, including names, dates, times, pickup and drop-off locations, and group size. We are not responsible for problems caused by inaccurate or incomplete information you provide.
- You confirm that you and everyone in your party are physically able to participate in the service booked.
9. Cancellations & Refunds
This policy applies to all services, including tours, experiences, and airport transfers.
Cancellations by you
- If you notify us at least 48 hours before your scheduled service, you are entitled to a full refund.
- If you cancel less than 48 hours before your scheduled service, the booking is non-refundable.
- No-shows and failure to be ready at the agreed time and location are treated as late cancellations and are non-refundable.
- For airport transfers, you are responsible for providing accurate flight details. We monitor reasonable delays where we are notified in advance, but we are not responsible for missed transfers caused by flight changes, delays, or arrival information you did not share with us.
Cancellations by us
In rare cases we may need to cancel or reschedule a service for reasons including weather, safety, road or site closures, provider unavailability, or other circumstances. If we cancel, we will offer you the choice of a reschedule or a full refund of the amount paid for the affected service. This is the full extent of our responsibility for a cancellation, and we are not liable for any other costs you may incur, such as flights, accommodation, or other arrangements.
How refunds are issued
Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method. Processing times depend on your bank or payment provider.
10. Assumption of Risk
Travel, tours, walking experiences, and ground transportation involve inherent risks. These can include, without limitation, physical activity, uneven terrain, weather, traffic and road conditions, vehicle travel, the actions of third parties, and being in unfamiliar environments. By booking and participating, you acknowledge and voluntarily accept these risks on behalf of yourself and everyone in your party.
You are responsible for assessing whether a service is suitable for you, for disclosing any relevant medical conditions, and for following all reasonable safety instructions given by us or our providers.
11. Release & Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- You release and hold harmless Brit & Berat, its owners, employees, and partners from any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to your participation in any service, including personal injury, illness, death, property loss or damage, theft, and trip interruption, except where caused directly by our own gross negligence or willful misconduct.
- The drivers, guides, and other providers who deliver your experience are independent contractors and businesses, not employees or agents of Brit & Berat. We select and brief our providers carefully and do our best to set them up for a safe, high-quality experience, but we do not control their moment-to-moment conduct. Responsibility for the safe performance of the hands-on service rests with the individual provider performing it. Brit & Berat is not liable for the acts, omissions, or negligence of any third-party provider, including drivers, guides, transport companies, venues, or accommodations. Where we arrange services performed by third parties, we act as a facilitator only, and your use of those services is subject to that provider's own terms, conduct, and insurance.
- Brit & Berat is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including missed flights or connections, lost time, lost earnings, or non-refundable travel costs.
- Where we are found liable despite the above, our total liability is capped at the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our own proven negligence. The releases and limitations above apply only to the fullest extent the law allows.
12. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for any failure or delay in providing a service due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural events, severe weather, strikes, civil unrest, government action, transport disruption, or emergencies. In such cases, Section 9 (cancellations by us) governs your remedy.
13. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that you obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical care, personal injury, and loss of belongings before participating in any service. You acknowledge that we have recommended this and that the decision to travel without adequate insurance is your own.
14. Customer Conduct
We want every guest to be safe and comfortable. We reserve the right to refuse, pause, or end a service without refund if a participant behaves in a way that is unsafe, abusive, unlawful, or disruptive to other guests, our team, or our providers.
15. Media & Photo Release
During tours and experiences, we may take photos and videos that include you and members of your party. By participating, you grant Brit & Berat permission to use these photos and videos in our marketing, including on our website, social media, advertising, and other promotional materials, without payment to you.
If you would prefer not to appear in our marketing, or if you would like a specific photo or video removed, simply email us at hello@britandberat.com. We will remove it from our active channels and stop using it going forward. Please note that we cannot recall materials that have already been printed or distributed before your request.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update this Privacy Policy and these Terms from time to time. The current version, with its "Last Updated" date, always applies. Continuing to use our services after an update means you accept the revised version.
17. Governing Law & Disputes
Brit & Berat is established as a United States entity in the State of Tennessee and operates its services in Türkiye.
These Terms and your agreement with us are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. To the extent any service is performed in Türkiye, applicable Turkish law also governs that service, including any consumer protection rights you have under Turkish law that cannot be waived. Where the two bodies of law conflict, the protections that cannot legally be waived will apply.
Before pursuing any formal dispute, you agree to contact us first so we can try to resolve the matter directly. Any dispute that cannot be resolved that way will be subject to the courts of the State of Tennessee, United States, or the courts of Istanbul, Türkiye, as permitted by applicable law.
